Affordable fun for everyone at Te Aroha's "A Day in the Domain"

Updated 16th April 2012

The Big Day!!!

Thank you to everyone who turned out to make this year's 'A Day in the Domain' a tremendous success. A few afternoon gusts had everyone hanging onto their gazebos! With plenty of colourful stalls, non-stop entertainment and a triumphant Te Aroha 'Battle victory', this year's Domain day was a great day out for all the family. Photos to come...

A Day in the Domain is a fun and affordable family day out in the beautiful, historic Te Aroha Hot Springs Domain.

With free entry and entertainment throughout the day there is something to delight young and old and everyone in between. This year we’ve got a real variety including the Bucket of Gunge, Newfoundland Dogs and Dunkin Dunnee, along with perennial favourites, the Balloon Man and the Puppeteer. Every year there is a Teddy Bears picnic where our talented story teller keeps the littlies enthralled while they sip on juice and munch their goodies with Teds big and small.

We've a mini 'Under 5's Expo' this year with our top lawn devoted to the little ones. Kids will have fun trying out the toys for hire from the Te Aroha toy library, blowing bubbles and playing games. They can learn about water safety with the Leisure Pools team and snack on scrummy healthy treats.

There's lots of creative crafty people with a few imaginative 'reconstructed' clothing stalls.

For those who want to just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere there is musical entertainment in the Rotunda all day long as well as the visual displays down on the petanque court…and food, did we mention food?

Waikato Regional Council are bringing the' Big Boys Toys' that they're using to clean up the Tui Mine. Hear about Stage 2 of the clean-up and what's planned for the future.

And of course there's the FOOD!!! Better pace yourself 'cos there's lots of variety this year - Pizza and pastries, sausages and salamis, curry and coffee,

ice-cream and one of our favourites - Hilltop Wines.

We're looking forward to seeing you all at 'A Day in the Domain' on Sunday 17th March 2013 where we'll be wearing the green to be sure for St Patrick's Day!

See you back in 2013!!!
